Hypothyroidism

I have been living with hypothyroidism for 10 years now. I never even knew I had an issue until a gynocologist suggested I get a blood test because my thyroid looked enlarged. Turns out that I had an issue. I honestly have never had any obvious symptoms, although perhaps I just chalked up my tiredness and weight gain to bad diet choices!

In infertility, having a slow (or fast) thyroid is not a great thing. In fact, my acupuncturist thinks that perhaps taking the levothyroxine for all this time could also have something to do with my infertility, although my IVF doctor never mentioned this and neither did the previous 3 doctors I saw. I am considering a trip to a holistic doctor to look into this relationship further. Between my thyroid and adrenal glands, I have a feeling that there might be areas to be improved upon. More to come!
